Accumulate 30-60 minutes of moderate physical activity daily to stay healthy, or improve your health. Physical activity doesn’t have to be very hard to improve your health. You can reach this goal by building physical activities into your daily routine. Just add it up in periods of at least 10 minutes throughout your day. Start slowly and build it up. Starting slowly is very safe for most people, but if you are unsure, ask you health care team.
Endurance activities help your heart, lungs and circulatory system stay healthy and can given you more energy, such as walking, golfing (without a ride on cart), yard and garden work, cycling, skating, dancing or tennis. Choosing things that you like is one of the easiest ways to add regular physical activity into your life. Join a friend/family member in their activities or get a friend/family member to join you.
